More and more people are becoming aware of the law of attraction, yet there seems to be some misunderstanding about the basic principles of this Universal law. Some try to use this principle to get more material possessions, yet the real power in understanding law of attraction is not in getting more stuff, but in understanding how to create your internal state of being in the way that you prefer–that of peace, good health, love and wellbeing.
The subtelty of the law of attraction is that in every moment our perceptions of the world around us (and of ourselves) are constantly fluctuating and changing depending on what we are thinking. The idea is that whatever we put out is what we get back, and when we learn to cultivate better control of the thoughts that we are sending out, we will have greater control of how we feel, experience ourselves, and create in the world. We can begin to understand how everything that we’ve experienced in our lives is directly related to the energy that we have been putting out.
An example of this is that when you have a positive thought appreciating the beauty of a flower, you are creating and sending out a positive signal of energy to the Universe. Because like attracts like, the thought form that you send out immediately attracts another thought within your mind that matches the vibration of the preceding thought. So directly following a thought about a beautiful flower, you are likely to have a thought about how beautiful the sky is. The thought about the flower and the thought about the sky were a similar frequency of positive vibration. The longer you hold a thought with positive vibration, the more positivity you will experience in general. There is growing scientific evidence to support this phenomenon, and the field of quantum physics is just beginning to uncover the mechanics behind the law of attraction. But you only need to experiment within yourself to understand how this law works. This is why when you are in a good mood, it can sometimes feel like nothing can bring you down, and when you are in a bad mood, it seems like everything is going wrong. You are merely in the midst of a strong pattern of thought vibration, which will continue to attract the same frequency thoughts until you consciously or unconsciously change your thoughts to something else.
Using the law of attraction from a place of love, joy, and the desire to uplift yourself and others, is the most powerful and responsible use of this knowledge. When we try to use the law for personal gain, we find it more difficult to attract the things that we want, and begin to understand that underneath the wanting of material possessions, is usually the desire to fill some kind of perceived emptiness.
This is where the subtle awareness of how the law works really comes into play. If you are wanting a new romantic partner in your life, and you spend time thinking and focusing on all the qualities of the romantic partner you desire, and yet you are doing it from a place of an underlying loneliness, sadness, or frustration, it is those underlying thought forms that are also a part of the vibration that you are sending out to the universe. You will likely attract a partner who matches this frequency and shares similar underlying feelings of loneliness or emptiness. This is not bad, but instead a wonderful opportunity for learning and greater self awareness. By examining the relationships and circumstances within our life, we can gain deeper understanding about what vibration we have been sending out to the universe, and the subconscious thoughts that are still motivating our emotions, and behaviors.
The most powerful way to use the law of attraction comes as one realizes that there is no greater experience than that of feeling unconditional love for oneself and for others. As we continue on our paths of clearing out our subconscious thoughts, we have the choice to choose love, or to choose fear. Fear would have us taking from the world around us, while love would invite us to share that which we have, to allow more goodness to come to all. This is true energy healing. We can learn to use the law of attraction for emotional health, mental health and better physical health, personal growth, and spiritual development, ultimately bringing more love and hapiness into our lives and the lives of others.
