When I first saw this video I was blown away and became so inspired. It is the story of a boy who has very clear recollections of specific events and details from a past life, many of which have been verified by complete strangers half-way across the country.
Watching videos like this remind me that there is so much more to reality than what we see and feel with our 5 senses. Even though I conceptually know this to be true, it can be easy to forget sometimes, especially when any struggle arises, and the drama can feel so real. Remembering the greater reality puts things into perspective, reminding me that the story of my life is only one chapter in an ever unfolding experience of my soul.
One of the most beautiful parts of this story is how James is able to bring healing to the traumas of his past life by reconciling the events in his present life. By going back to the crash site and visiting with the family from his past life all allow him to bring closure to his present experience. I know for many this can be healing, yet for others it can cause more confusion. In the past life regression work I have done, I never felt that called to investigate very deeply. Isaw the potential for more story to be built up around trauma.
Through my own path of self healing I have discovered how natural healing can be when we just allow it, instead of seeking after it. In my holistic counseling practice, I have to remind myself that the only thing that needs healing is the idea that something needs healing. Some type of counseling services or holistic therapy is definitely helpful to allow a person to gain greater self awareness, release repressed emotional energy, and uncover subconscious motivation within themselves. In addition to counseling or therapy, simply establishing a practice of meditation, positive visualization, and mindful awareness will provide for new insights and self awareness.
