Being thankful takes practice.  The reason is because most of us were taught to be critical about life, judging what is wrong, and then trying to fix what is wrong.  When we switch our focus to what is "right" then what is "wrong," naturally fades from our awareness and our life.  Here is what is so right in my life

I am so grateful to be alive, to feel the air flowing in and out of my body.  I am so grateful to feel the energy of life within my body, to feel the pleasant vibration in my hands, feet, body, and head.  I am so grateful for all of the sense perceptions of smelling, tasting, hearing, feeling, and seeing.  I almost forgot seeing, but i love that one most!  I am so happy to have nourishing food to put into my body and a wonderful place to live.  I am so grateful to have wonderful and uplifting life affirming tasks to do each day, such as walking and feeding two beautiful doggies.  I am so grateful for Mahina and Kela, the best puppies in this whole house.  I am so grateful for this beautiful property that I live on with such amazing views of the ocean and the island of Maui.  I am so grateful to paint and to create beautiful images that uplift and inspire others to be creative and enjoy the beauty of life.

I am grateful for the gardenia in our front stoop that smells like heaven.  I am so grateful for all of the amazing flowers on this island and on this earth.  I am grateful for the earth's energy, flowing up into my body, filling me with healing electrons, neutralizing all of the free radicals.  I am grateful to be a holistic counselor, offering holistic counseling services to others who are deepening their awareness and self knowledge.  I am so grateful to have gone through the experiences that I have gone through, to know wht I know and to feel what I feel.  I am so grateful to be taking deep full natural slow breaths, feeling the air filling every cell of my body, bringing health, vitality and energy into my beingness.  I am grateful for the spiritual counseling of Eckhart tolle, and for everything I have learned through his teachings.  I am so grateful to be aware of the thoughts in my mind, knowing which thoughts to empower with my creative energy.

I am grateful for healing ulcerative colitis.  I am so happy to be free from illness and to be healthier than I have ever been in my life.  I am so grateful for the detoxification process, for healing and cleansing the body.  I am grateful for healing depression naturally, for healing anxiety naturally, and for healing emotional trauma.

I see myself shinning my light brightly out into the world, being in the beautiful flow of life, bringing happiness, joy, peace, and love into all that I do.  I am grateful to see myself giving from my heart, giving of myself into this world, offering what I have learned, offering my energy of love that flows through me into this world.  I see myself building a life with a partner who is a reflection of this divine energy, a wonderful loving being who wants to co-create with me, to bring more love and light into this world.  I see myself having a deep friendship with this partner, a deep bond, built on trust, honesty, and integrity.  I see myself creating a family with my partner, two children to enjoy our loving energy, to enjoy our gifts of life.  I see us creating joyful experiences, building a beautiful cob house, planting a garden, feeding the animals.  I see us living in such harmony and love where everyday is a gift from the universe.  I see myself continuing to offer holistic counseling and spiritual counseling as a holistic counselor, helping others unfold the petals of their heart, allowing more love and joy and light into their lives.  I am here to be a beacon of light, a beacon of love, bringing more joy into this world.  Thank you, thank you, thank you,

Amen!
